LOTUS OF THE HEART
Everyone is Welcome Here
Living in LOVE beyond Beliefs
When you see you as a self are merely an experience made up of an assortment of experiences, many contradictory, so self-contradictory, you realize you yourself are relative, impermanent like every experience. You may speak of, even, a True Self, a Higher Self,... But who speaks of such? You, a self. The self, then, tends to see a deeper Self, or Soul, as a better, spiritual, more subtle version of itself. As the self creates God in its image, for this happens simply through mentality, the self oft creates a so-called True Self... in it's self-image. Yet, this deeper Realness does show Itself and can, therefore, through spiritual discipline and living, communicate to some extent Itself to the mind and feelings. This is revelation, not necessarily the revelation of God, or the Divine, rather, the revelation of a more subtle aspect of self to self. That is, the True Self ... is still only the self, or in continuity with self - an experience of experiences, even if more pure, more subtle, and closer to the pure Divine, or Source. What may surprise many, is this True Self has to undergo a death in the process of return, or going on, to Grace, or the Divine. That impermanent gives way to that permanent: timeless, boundless - and without identity. As St. Paul wrote in the Christian Scriptures, "When all things are subjected to the One, then the Son himself will also be subjected to the One who put all things in subjection under the Son, that the One may be all in all" (I Corinthians 15.28). So, all not-fully-God must die by Grace by the Fire of Love, of God, so that all of God may live in God-as-God. Even that corresponding to True Self is to be placed into the Fire of Grace, by Grace. What is, then, left?
